Our Digital Mammography course satisfies the mandated 8 hours of initial training in full field digital mammography required under MQSA regulations. It is approved by the ASRT for 8 Category A continuing education credits for x-ray technologists. However, this course satisfies the minimum 8 hour requirement under the MQSA for both radiologists and technologists.
Radiologists and technologists will leave the course with an 8 hour certificate which satisfies, and is proof of, the MQSA requirement for initial training in full field digital mammography. The course will cover a review of binary numbers, digital image definition, image acquisition, detectors, image processing, display and storage, image quality and quality control and radiation dose.
