Digital Breast Tomosynthesis Seminars
About the Seminar
This seminar, specifically designed for the mammography technologist, focuses on the impact of digital breast tomosynthesis.
The Breast Tomosynthesis Seminar is a journey of discovery and exploration about medical imaging technology changes during the most recent 40 year transition from analog imaging, to full field digital mammography, to digital breast tomosnythesis.
Mainly it is about acquiring image clarity; about differentiating diseased tissue from a normal tissue background.
Digital breast tomosynthesis received FDA approval in February 2011. Explore how this exciting new technology will revolutionize the practice of breast disease detection.
The Breast Tomosynthesis seminar will satisfy the 8 hour requirement mandated by the MQSA to have before being allowed to perform Breast Tomosynthesis in a Breast Imaging facility.
In addition, this seminar will be accredited for 8 Category A CE’s by the ASRT.
Who Should Attend
This program is intended for all x-ray technologists who are in need of Cat A CE's and who are interested in learning more about Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT). This program does meet the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirement for 8 hours in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis before performing mammograms on a breast tomosynthesis unit.
Even though this course is only Cat A approved, it satisfies the MQSA requirement for 8 hours in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis for physicists as well.
AQI has Partnered with MTMI, the registration will direct you to MTMI's Website to register.
